Only 2 years after the 2010 FGTT, 2012 saw a new issue of our series. This time we did not choose the direct way through Wales to get to Ireland, because for years we had always wanted to visit Scotland. After all, this year we focused on Caledonia before finally reaching the Emerald Isle. We spent the first 10 days of the trip travelling through the Southern Highlands until we eventually got to Troon in Western Scotland. From here we crossed the Irish Sea towards Larne, Co. Antrim, to travel around Ireland for another week.

Just like in 2010 the brown FGTTmobil was our loyal and reliable companion again. In our weblog we had been documenting our preparations and some preliminary results of the trip in real time and of course, all the details are still archived on http://fugetoto.blogspot.com for reading.
